Soprano Katherine Corle is a diverse performer, known for her voluptuous vocal tone and eye-catching stage presence. Born in Minnesota, Ms. Corle recently relocated to Stamford, CT after living in New York City for many years. She most recently completed her third season as a Young Artist in the 2017 season of the Ohio Light Opera. At OLO, she has performed roles in operetta and musical theatre, including Lisa in Countess Maritza, Ethel Toffelmier in The Music Man, the Fairy Godmother in Lady of the Slipper, and Ruth in Ruddigore, in addition to covering the title role in Friederike and Princess Jutta in The Little Dutch Girl. In recent years, Ms. Corle has also appeared regularly with the Victor Herbert Renaissance Project and Light Opera of New York, performing gems from the American operetta. Her recent operatic roles include First Lady in Die Zauberflöte and Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos with Manhattan Opera Studio, and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte in a collaboration with the Metropolitan Opera Guild and Sing Through Central. Her other favorite roles include the Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro and Mimì (cover) in La bohème with Burgas Opera in Bulgaria, the title role in Suor Angelica with Trinity Opera in New York City, and Frasquita and Micaëla (cover) in Carmen with the Hradec Králové International Summer Opera Festival in the Czech Republic. Ms. Corle has studied with Dorothy Stone, David Holkeboer, Susan Morton, and Vera Calabria. She holds a B.F.A. with honors from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
